How to antique studs?(the clothing kind)?
I would like to affix some studs to my clothing and the only studs I could find are a bright gold color. I would like the studs to be more of a copper/bronze, less bright, and have an antique look to them. The base of the studs are brass. What are some easy ways I could do this at home, not using a special chemical bought from the store?
I don't think vinegar works, cause I rubbed some on and left it overnight and it looks exactly like the rest.
Does anyone know of any methods with doing this sort of thing? Thanks
This is what I am going for:

wow, I'm surprised the vinegar didn't work! I would try soaking one in it, rather that just wiping it on. You could also try bleach. Or a fine grade sandpaper or magic eraser.
Another solution might be to get a can of spray paint and paint them the color you want before you put them on.
Coordinate Ground Lamps With Different Gentle Fixtures
Lighting fixtures are the forgotten kids within the inside design world. Wherever attainable, homeowners will considerably reduce on the light fixture budget in favor of spending extra on a throw rug or something. There may be nothing improper with pondering like this—it’s merely because of years of heavy promoting spending by house furnishing companies. The light fixture people, it appears, choose to spend their advertising budgets on other things. But it is nonetheless fairly true {that a} ground lamp or ceiling fixture can really be the of completion that ties the room together.
Light fixtures like the floor lamp have it robust because they should be both ornamental and functional. Any espresso table will kind of support light objects laid upon it whereas its aesthetics will always be within the eyes of the beholder. But a floor lamp must even be pleasing for the owner to look at whereas also being functional and offering enough mild for tasks. Plus, a floor lamp can't produce glare or it turns into an obstacle to work and should produce eye pressure or perhaps even headaches.
Discovering the perfect shade is the key to a flooring lamp that is each stunning and functional. Shades with ornate material patterns could look nice within the daylight and the lamp off. However when the sun goes down and it comes time to show the ground lamp on, the room is bathed in a somber glow and there are vivid and darkish spots on the shade. The ground lamp wants an opaque shade of light colour so that it mutes the light coming off the bulb whereas still providing enough illumination to carry out tasks.
Coordinating a unique shade between the floor lamp and other lighting resembling desk lamps is a simple thought that can add a number of sophistication to the home. It is even possible to coordinate a floor lamp shade with smaller variations of the same shade on a chandelier or similar hanging fixture. Matching wall sconce shades add that delicate yet defining contact that completes any look.
Along with matching the shades, it is also an important concept to coordinate the sunshine fixture bases as well. You probably have an antique brass base in your flooring lamp, then try to find other lighting fixtures with the same sort of base. Even when you have a Tiffany-model lamp shade with a nickel base, the fixture will appear misplaced and poorly matched if the other light items have copper bases. Perfection is in the particulars so make sure to coordinate the base and shade of your ground lamp as closely as attainable with the opposite fixtures for the best results.
